Not So Syllabus Week

If you are in college, or are about to be, you've probably heard of this thing called syllabus week. Basically, your professors give you a week (or two) to get supplies and textbooks, because it takes a while to get everything for each one of your classes. Good professors are typically very understanding about the cost of the materials as well as how long it will take to get them sent to you (if you don't buy them from the bookstore). You think, "Oh, I have time... I won't have anything to do besides get prepared for the semester."

Well, I have an announcement to make... syllabus week is a myth.

If you're like me (unlucky & broke), you'll have assignments due BEFORE you even get to attend the first class. I had papers and readings due on Day 1 of some of my classes. There was no time to relax and ease into the semester, I was just pushed right in. That is part of the reason why I haven't been posting on here, but I've finally gotten into a decent routine / schedule... so I'll be posting more.

This semester, I am taking five classes: Global Anthropology, Managerial Accounting, Financial Management, Marketing Principles, and Management Principles. It's a lot, a lot of projects and a lot of homework, but I like all of my professors so it isn't too bad.

Time for class! Until next time...
