I love to save and hate breaking the bank. I also love makeup, which makes it hard to not spend a lot of money. Although I have "high-end" makeup, I find myself using my drugstore makeup on a day-to-day basis. One reason is because I don't like to waste my expensive product if I'm only going to work for a few hours or going out to lunch. Another reason is that my drugstore makeup is REALLY GOOD. My point is... you don't have to break the bank to slay your makeup. Here's my current drugstore makeup routine along with why I like each product.

Before I put any makeup on, I wash my face. This is so important! Having a clean and fresh face not only helps your makeup go on smoother, but it also ensures that there isn't dirt and build up left in your pores which can cause you to break out.

A few weeks ago I ordered the Spin for Perfect Skin face brush from Vanity Planet. It is the best!!! I got it for like 70% off because I used a YouTuber's coupon code to get it. It comes with four different brush heads, so I use the exfoliating one at night and the cleansing one in the morning.

Now into the makeup...

  1. Moisturizer - Clean & Clear Essentials Dual Action Facial Moisturizer ($4.99) | I have super dry skin so I try to moisturize as much as I can. This moisturizer is the only one I use from the drugstore and it definitely does the job.

  2. Primer - e.l.f. Poreless Face Primer ($6.00) | The pores on my face especially on my nose and cheek area are pretty big. I try to use a pore filling primer, and this is the cheapest one lol. I wish it were slightly thicker, but it works well.

  3. Foundation - Maybelline Super Stay Full Coverage Foundation ($9.99) | AMAZING. One of my absolute favorite foundations out of both drugstore and high end. It has such a comfortable wear and beautiful finish. It honestly looks like an expensive foundation and it has great coverage.

  4. Concealer - Makeup Revolution Conceal & Define ($7.00) | This is such a pretty full coverage concealer. Definitely a dupe for the Tarte Shape Tape and I'm obsessed.

  5. Contour - Wet and Wild Megaglo Stick ($3.89) | I'm not big on contouring but I also don't like my face to look flat or one dimensional. Sooooo... I put a little bit of this in the hollows of my cheeks and on my forehead and BAM. Contoured.

  6. Powder - Coty Airspun Loose Face Powder ($5.99) | Ride or die powder. That is all.

  7. Brows - e.l.f. Instant Lift Brow Pencil ($2.00) and L'Oreal Brow Stylist Plumper ($7.50) | I like dip brow more than pencils because I just work better with a brush but $2... come on now. I clean up my brows with my concealer on the bottom and foundation on the top and set it with the L'Oreal stuff.

  8. Bronzer - Physicians Formula Butter Bronzer ($7.99) | Such a beautiful bronzer, it looks so natural. It also smells like a tropical paradise.

  9. Highlighter - Wet and Wild Megaglo Highlighting Powder in Golden Flower Crown ($4.68) | OMG I LOVE THIS HIGHLIGHTER!!! It is so darn pretty and super blinding.

  10. Mascara - Maybelline Great Lash ($4.39) | Such a classic and honestly better than a lot of high-end mascaras. I wish it was just a teeny tiny bit less wet.

  11. Setting Spray - Mario Badescu Facial Spray ($7.00) | So refreshing!

So I don't do eyeshadow on a day to day basis but if you're looking for some cheap palettes or shadows, try Colourpop! Their single shadows are gorgeous and inexpensive and so are their palettes.

Well, that's it! If you have any questions about anything here or want more posts like this... subscribe to the mailing list and send me a message!

Until next time....
