I used to absolutely hate the phrase "Summer Reading List," but since it has stopped being a requirement for school, I really enjoy reading throughout the summer. Over time I have learned how important reading is. Knowledge is power, so I like taking the time to educate myself and learn as much as I can. Since summer is the least busy time of the year as a college student, it's really the only time I have to fit a bunch of reading in.

I wanted to put together a little list of all of the books I want to read this summer, and then at the end of the summer I'm going to go back and see how many I actually read. This is going to just be a list of books and their authors, nothing too fancy. Some (most) of them I have read before but I just absolutely love them and would like to revisit them.

The New Jim Crow ~ Michelle Alexander

To Kill a Mockingbird ~ Harper Lee

Go Set a Watchman ~ Harper Lee

The Book Thief ~ Markus Zusak

The Help ~ Kathryn Stockett

Looking for Alaska ~ John Green

The Great Gatsby ~ F. Scott Fitzgerald

Beloved ~ Toni Morrison

The Princess Saves Herself in this One ~ Amanda Lovelace

Milk and Honey ~ Rupi Kaur

I'm just starting with 10 because I don't have a lot of time to read and we're already halfway through summer. Let me know if you guys have any suggestions by using the contact page on the site or through any of my social media pages!
